Describe the life of the Prophet Muhammad- Teena
Birth- Muhammad was born in the year 570 in Mecca .
MAIN OVERVIEW
Muhammad means"to praise or to glorify" in Arabic.He was the only son of Abd Allah Bin Al-Muttalib and Amina bint Wahb. Muhammad’s father died before his birth after a couple more years later that his mother died so, he was raised by his grandfather(who died shortly after Muhammad started living with him)and his uncle. As a teenaged boy Muhammad was known to be honest, and
sincere. Muhammad received his first revelation from God through Angel Gabriel when he was about 43 years old. He got revelations from god for twenty-three years, and which was collected soon became the Quran. He began to recite and preach the Quran, he and his small group of follower’s
suffered/went through a lot persecution from the unbelievers. The persecution grew so brutal it is said
that God, gave them the command to emigrate. The emigration from Makkah to the city of Medina, marked the beginning of the Muslim calendar. After Muhammad’s died, there were some conflicts/split regarding who should become the successor of Muhammad. The Sunnis were lead by Abu Bakar(Muhammad’s father in law), this group/sect is more strict compared to the Shiites who was lead by Ali( Muhammad’s son in law).
